DAI UK Staff and Board
John Rogers
John serves with DAI as Senior Consultant for Non-Formal Training and Adult Education and is based in London.
John joined the DAI team in January 2006 where his major responsibilities include the development of new materials for the training of DAI's staff and volunteer trainers. As well as the module on partnerships for the MA programme, he has also re-written the module on Teaching and Learning for Impact, and is currently working on a project to revise the non-formal leadership course materials. He regularly teaches modules on DAI's MA Programme, and has so far worked with several groups in Uganda, as well as in Burundi, Nigeria, Nepal, Sri Lanka and India. He also runs "Facilitating Learning" Workshops, which is a training of trainers workshop, and in 2010 worked with Seminary and Bible College Principals in Nepal to help them be more effective in the classroom.
Before joining DAI, John worked in the adult education sector in UK, in leadership roles overseas with Feba Radio and in UK with the Langham Partnership, and as an international trainer working in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America with Interdev.
Currently John also serves as a trustee of the South African Missions Trust and is chairman of the trustees of Feba Radio.
Maggie Flewitt
Maggie is DAI UK's part-time volunteer Administrative Assistant, and in this role organizes communications with DAI's supporters, sending out the Quarterly News Update and other information by mail or by e-mail. She also supports the work of the board by helping the chairman in sending out agendas and taking notes at, and producing minutes from, board meetings.
Board
Colin Rye (Chair) is Executive Pastor of Christ Church, Virginia Water with responsibility for strategy, finance, operations and administration. Previously Project Manager of the Micah Challenge 'Blow the Whistle" campaign (mid-2007) lobbying the UK government to deliver their Millennium Development Goals. In March 2011, Colin facilitated the "Mentoring" Course on the DAI MA Programme in Uganda, and in November 2010 visited DAI's work in Nepal.
Nigel Stowe (Vice Chair) until recently was European Sales Manager for an international building materials manaufacturer. Nigel is also the past chairman of Trust Corporation managing the assets of a church denominational group.
John Flewitt is a partner with Menzies, the Accountants. He is a member of the Coign, Woking, has been involved with Christian Camps for 30 years and is involved with a number of other charities providing financial advice and consultation.
Jennie Collins is a New Zealander who now lives in the UK. Originally Jennie was a physiotherapist and worked in that capacity in Bangladesh and Nepal. The last 9 years she spent in Kathmandu leading the United Mission to Nepal, an international christian development/mission organisation. Prior to that she was the International Director of Tearfund. In August 2010, Jennie facilitated the "Development and Social Change" Course on the DAI MA Programme in Uganda
Hazel Tea has been involved in missions over many years, supporting in prayer, finance and for a period worked for a christian organisation arranging conferences and handling the accounts. In January 2009 Hazel visited DAI's work in Nepal.
Rev. Dr. Christopher J.H. Wright is the International Director of Langham Partnership International. He has been involved in theological education in India and Principal of All Nations Christian College and is the author of several books including The Mission of God.
